For 20 years William Grant had the dream to make the "best whisky in the valley". With the help of his family, he finally made his dream come true in the summer of 1886. Glenfiddich is Gaelic and means "valley of the stags". The 18-year-old Glenfiddich is listed as "Small Batch Single Malt" and matures for 18 years in selected Spanish Oloroso and American oak casks.
