Martin Edgerton Gill founded England's largest tea company "The London Herb and Spice Company" in 1978; by 1988 it already had a British market share of 50%. Edgerton Original Pink Gin combines 15 botanicals; juniper berries, cereals, bean herb, Casia Bark, coriander, almonds, lemon peel, orange peel, damiana, nutmeg, liquorice, angelica root, orris powder, pomegranate seeds and cinnamon. The name "Pink Gin" is derived from the dianthus or also called cloves. The pink "edges" of these flowers are called "Pinks". Edgerton Gin owes its unusual pink colour to extracts from pomegranates.
