Don Papa, one of the lesser known heroes of the Philippine Revolution. A foreman on a sugar cane plantation, he joined the fight for his country's independence. He became the leader of his countrymen in driving the conquerors from his beloved land. Don Papa comes from the island of Negros in the Philippine archipelago. This exceptional rum honors the heroes of the revolution. This rum is refined from high quality sugar cane grown on extremely fertile volcanic soils. It is stored for four years in former rye whiskey barrels. The bottling is done at cask strength and without cold filtration. Tasting notes:Color: Dark mahogany. Nose: Fruity, soft, notes of rye.
